This is a fairly zany an urban fantasy where a mild-mannered "beta male" in San Francisco is given the powers of Death (really he's more like an unwilling franchisee). The narration on the audiobook helped get me through the slow parts, but the entire plot just didn't quite get there for me - in comparison to, say The Rook.
I'm deliberating getting the second book in the series - just haven't made my mind up yet.
