The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey - Candice Millard

I recently read this for our Third Thursday book club, and really enjoyed it.  I had no idea TR had ever engaged on such a dangerous trip, and was so close to not making it.  It had a lot of back story information about the Amazon's flora and fauna, which I thought conflicted a little with the main thrust of the story, but not in an annoying way. or anything.
