Jamie has been working with a lot of other parents on a local tradition - the citywide sixth grade dance - which is the first event in what will eventually become the Class of 2017.
Tonight we took Grayson and chaperoned at the dance. It started with a
dinner for the 50-odd honorees at 6pm, including a group photo in the First Methodist Church gym.
The other hundred or so sixth graders that attended showed up at 7 and were treated to an outstanding DJ with a couple of daners emceeing the evening's fun.
Not so for Grayson, who had to endure the humiliation of having to dance with his mother!
(Taking these pictures was definitely one of the high points of fatherhood, I have to tell you).
