Testament: The Bible and History - John Romer

This was a long slog, and I was frankly surprised when it suddenly ended.  I really like Romer's work, and enjoy reading what he has to say, but this book just was not organized in any fashion I could see.  I learned a tremendous amount about the Near East environment in which the original Bible book were written, as well as a lot about how the books worked their way through Greek and Latin, but it was not a story - just a long lecture.
