Last Sunday we all attended the boys' Blue & Gold ceremony, where Parker (left with Grayson) and Collin received their Tiger Cub patches and baseball belt loops, and the Webelos den presented a little skit (drama boy is second from the right). But the main part of the ceremony is the "crossing over" of second year Webelos into Boy Scouts. For this ceremony Grayson was the only second year Webelos eligible (the rest will be eligible in December) and he not only crossed over - he received the Arrow of Light award (here a beautiful ceremonial arrow put together by Mike Brannon), which is the only patch he can transfer from his Webelos uniform to his Boy Scout one. Here's a picture of him getting his Webelos decorations removed and his Boy Scouts insignia added by his new troop members (my camera battery dropped out right at this point, so I'll add family pics later when I get them from the other parents that were there).
Jamie and I are so proud of Grayson - although it's rough on me that now he has to hang up his patch vest - because I have one just like it hanging in my closet. But I picked up C & P's vests yesterday in Tyler so I'll start on them now.
