Today's Marshall News Messenger front page had a special story for our family, as Jamie filed for reelection as Harrison County Treasurer. A pdf of the article in a convenient one page format (shown below)

So far she does not have an opponent, but as she's had three general election opponents in her four races (which is, as far as I am aware, something no other countywide official in Harrison County has had - several have had two but none three as far as I'm aware - interesting piece of trivia for you) and has won the last two races by margins of 15-17% we are optimistic that even if she does get one, the voters will decide she's done a good job and keep her on. (Harrison County residents will remember that Jamie's mom Marie Noland was county tax assessor-collector from 1976 to 1994, so running countywide is a family tradition - Jamie and her mother even overlapped for two years in countywide office which was and is as far as we are aware a Texas first for a mother/daughter combination).
I know her boys and I are proud of her, and ready to work hard for her! They were a big help the last time around, as you can see. (This picture is special to us for a different reason - it was the first picture of all three boys smiling at the same time, and still don't think they've taken as good a picture since then. They were so proud of their mom when they saw the new signs!
