Jamie and I took the boys to Dallas Saturday to clean out my wrecked car and get a replacement, and stayed Sunday to watch the Cowboys open their new stadium against the New York Giants. We got there plenty early and enjoyed the pregame festivities, which enjoying watching the roof and end zone open for the first time
watching the star on the field be uncovered, the team run out the first time, etc. Here's a picture of the opening kickoff in the air (nice sunset!) -The Ring of Honor was installed at halftime, with most of the living recipients there - including my hero, Roger Staubach. We heard they sold over 31,000 "party passes" so the end zone plazas were crammed full, as you can see. I'd like to say that made it too loud for the visiting team, but I don't think we were successful in that... We yelled our heads off all night (attached is on the last offensive play - Parker and Collin are out of the picture but Grayson and Jamie are giving it their best shot!) We drove back last night as the boys have school pictures this morning. Disappointing result, but overall a great game and a great weekend with the boys. Now we're looking forward to getting back on track with a good game Monday night hosting Carolina...
