We just got back from the Marshall Chamber of Commerce's biennial trip to Austin to meet with state officials during the legislative session. This year our local state rep Bryan Hughes was kind enough to get Grayson a job for the day as a House messenger, where he got to roam the House floor with Bryan, deliver papers to other state reps around the Capitol, and even meet Texas House speaker Joe Straus at the speaker's podium (he had a picture taken with the Speaker, and as soon as we get it I'll add it to this post). 
After our various meetings, I got a chance to take Grayson around to see the sights around the Capitol that I remembered from my years in Austin.
