I just finished watching this set of 36 lectures by John R. Hale of the University of Louisville on classical archaeology. The course traced the history of the subject, beginning in the 18th century, and went through archaeological techniques, exemplar sites, and various issues. I was glad it was on DVD, since the visuals were very enjoyable (and informative). it took almost five months to get through, not that that's a bad thing, but I enjoyed it very much.
