2009 Dad 'N Lad Camping Trip

Saturday and Sunday Grayson and I went on our annual "Dad 'n Lad" Cub Scout camping trip at Camp Pirtle.  A good time was had by all, with seven or eight activities, three meals, and camp fire (including skits) Saturday night.  The weather was pretty chilly, with some light showers Saturday morning.  Saturday night it dropped below freezing, and was 28 F when I woke up Sunday morning, so it was a fairly cold night to be sleeping in a tent.  But Grayson was a trooper - he won a yellow bead for getting a bulls eye in archery, and had a great time with all the other crafts and games.  And as I found out Monday, the subfreezing weather meant that Grayson qualifies for his "Polar Bear" patch!
