The Dark Knight - Christopher Nolan

There's not much I can add to what's been said about this movie.  It didn't overwhelm me, but that's largely because I was stuck watching it on the fourth row of a theater where I couldn't really take in a lot of it - but I didn't see a thing I didn't think was great.  The title actually made sense when at the end you realized what had happened to Batman - he had deliberately cast someone else as Gotham's white knight and taken the sins of that person on himself.  Definitely a change in direction from the celebrity crimefighter he was headed towards being.
