I saw this book at a news stand in Corpus Christi two weeks ago, and finished it only a couple of hours later while on a layover in DFW. I really never paid attention to what a "last lecture" was supposed to be about, and thought that if I could ever learn anything about what is and isn't important about my life, this ought to be the book that teaches me, since Pausch and I have a similar situation and background. I had no idea Jamie knew about this already, as a result of the sensation the lecture has created (including the release of this book). This is a book that will break your heart as you think about what Randy and his family is going through, and what his kids will endure for the rest of their life. It really puts a lot of things in perspective, if you didn't have them there already.
