Saving Private Ryan - Steven Spielberg

Got this for $9.95 at Best Buy a few weeks ago since I knew I wanted to watch (actually listen) to the movie that begat Band of Brothers.  The sound was, as I remembered, phenomenal, and Spielberg's direction is, as usual, stunning - scene after scene and character after character have a beauty and veracity that you just don't get from anyone else.  Overall as good a movie as I remembered, although the overall theme, and the principal character (Capt. Miller's) motivations are still somewhat muddy to me.  But a good movie, although an abysmal DVD in terms of extra - one very short "making of" and that's it.  THis movie should have had far, far more.
