I watched this a few years ago, and then lost the DVDs in the move to our new house. But once I had the movie room set up I really wanted to see it again so I broke down and bought another copy, and watched it over the last six months, just finishing this morning.
This is an incredible series. The scope is unparalleled (excepting Lord of the Rings, of course) and the quality is unbelievable. The characters and the acting are just outstanding, and the story is as well. I can't say enough good things about it. No doubt I'll watch it again in another year or two.
