The Space Machine - Christopher Priest

Just got back my 1st U.S. edition of The Space Machine from Scotland, where Bullet (shown standing in line) got Mr. Priest to sign it at the Interaction 2005 science fiction convention (the 63rd annual) where he was a guest of honor.  The new inscription reads "To Michael Smith - I'm amazed - Christopher Priest - Interaction 2005"  The "amazed" refers to his being impressed that the book made it all the way to Scotland from Texas just to be signed.  He also said that it was really nice to sign one of his old books in such good condition.  (He should have seen my 1st UK edition copy).  Bullet also learned that Mr. Priest is married to a woman from San Antonio, and she knows Marshall.  Bullet concluded that he was really neat.  Anyway, a nice addition to the personal library.  Wish I could have met him, but 'm glad Bullet got to.  I think we may have gotten across to him in a non-stalking sort of way, that some people think some of his books are pretty neat.
