The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - John Romer

Romer's documentary on Byzantium is one of my all-time favorites, and I had seen the documentary on the Seven Wonders that he did, which is why I got this, the companion book, when I ran across it.  I was disappointed in the book, however.  It had more detail than the series, which further muddied things up.  In a chapter on one of the seven wonders there would be pages of extraneous details and discussion of concepts that I thought had little to do with the subject.  Not one of my favorites.
