It's always a pleasure to congratulate my cocounsel (and roommates over at the Hub) at Fisch Hoffman Sigler on their win Friday, in which they secured a finding of no infringement in Judge Schneider's court before a Marshall jury on behalf of our client Barnes & Noble. It's their second defense win on the asserted patent, and for some of the lawyers their third defense win in Marshall.
I typically post on who did what at the trial, but as I just posted we have another trial week after next, followed by another.
So I figured I'd just wait till the end of the trials to run the list of who handled voir dire, did opening and closings, and handled witnesses.
But I do want to say that this is my third trial with these guys, and I am just really enjoying having them working out of the Hub (they don't even move out between trials any more - what would be the point?) and trying cases with them. They have been a pleasure to work with and to watch in the courtroom, and I congratulate them on the success they had last week.
