Good short article in the Wall Street Journal's Business Technology section here yesterday by reporter Ben Worthen on the recent patent case filed against Apple in the Eastern District of Texas. Ben goes into the background of the district's patent docket (the well-known Texas Instruments story) and the changes in the docket from the "happy years" for plaintiffs from roughly 2004 to 2006 which ended with the "annus horribilis" of 2007. The story end with the memorable quote (from me) that "[t]his is a good place to get sued" which I stand behind. Good place to file a case too, of course.
