Greetings from sunny Southern California, where yours truly is atoning
for all of his past sins by taking his three small boys through the
various theme parks with his wife and in-laws. Today's fresh nightmare was the second day at Disneyland, including a photo-op with Mickey for the herd (see left - immediately after this was taken the photographer remarked that our boys reminded him of Huey, Dewey & Louie, which was, of course, enormously depressing since I now know that this is like the Hotel California - I can check out any time I like, but I can never leave. Seriously, we are really having a lot of fun, but with three small boys, fun is a rather elastic term.).
The news that tears me away from the happiest place on earth is the equally thrilling news, courtesy of ED MIS manager (and wizard of all things electronic) David Provines that you may now file notices of appeal electronically and pay the fees by credit card. Yes, the dream is now a reality for disgruntled litigants throughout the district. The events were added yesterday and today. As soon as you see the appeals events on your CM menu, you may begin filing them electronically. Detailed instructions are posted on the district's website, www.txed.uscourts.gov or your can click on this link for the instructions: http://www.txed.uscourts.gov/FilingInfo/Pay.Gov%20-%20Credit%20Card%20Payments.pdf
